Who Killed Pancho Villa?Towards the end of the Mexican Revolution, Pancho Villa had been allowed to retire to his spacious ranchero in northern Mexico. The only condition of his surrender was that he not enter politics again. Villa surrendered in 1916 and remained at home, dealing with personal issues and taking care of his ranch. He was shot in 1923 when he went into town for ranch business.
