Martin Scott Goldberg

Marty is a Gen X-er who's been a videogame fan since first walking into a bowling alley and playing Breakout back in the '70's. Though into the classic gaming scene a lot less time than the rest of the staff, his quest for knowledge and passion for collecting has resulted in The Museum of Home Videogaming. Currently finishing a degree in Computer Science (with an Art minor), he is also a musician, and teaches martial arts. He came to ClassicGaming.com because of his love for the community, and his desire to help contribute to the Web site responsible for his initial exposure to it. Marty's job here was originally to do a little of this and a little of that, but has now grown to include a lot of this and a lot of that.

Marty is a packrat. Besides his game collection, he also collects original GI Joe memorabilia, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Star Wars, '60s-'90s comic books, bottlecaps, coins, stamps, and more. He got his nickname for his willingness to go to thrift stores and pawnshops in areas others won't go near, and that usually inspire the comment, "Marty, I'm not about to get killed over an Atari cartridge!"

James Hunt

James Hunt has been playing video games since the 80s, when hairstyles (and sprites) were large and fuzzy, and games only loaded one in three attempts. His first computer was a Commodore C16 plus 4, swiftly followed by a Vic 20 and then a C64, on which he did his first programming. By wasting his childhood indoors inputting BASIC examples and blowing onto the contact pins of NES cartridges in the erroneous belief that it would inspire them to work next time he hit the power button, he secured the essential life skills that led him through University and into work as a software engineer at one of the world's largest and oldest Internet companies.

He enjoys a good text adventure and hates a bad Tetris clone, and has never felt more alive than the day he first completed Super Mario Bros. 3. When he's not playing games, he's reading comics, and when he not playing games or reading comics he's probably asleep. He currently lives in London with his girlfriend, friend, and their seven consoles.
