-- @ 15:10 PST New Zone Added to EQ Underfoot [ Comment  ]Print News | Category: Official News Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has just announced the addition of a new zone called Convorteum that is exclusive to players who have access to the Underfoot expansion. Beginning today, players can login and experience the new content as well as receive a new bonus item.
The Convorteum add-on delivers a new fortress constructed in effort to resist the wrath of Brell. Fueled by the resentment of his creator, The First Creation is plotting his vengeance, and it is up to the players to overcome this challenge. Convorteum includes six new raids, multiple new quests, and one new mission for players to enjoy in addition to the previously released Underfoot content. Current and Inactive EverQuest subscribers who have yet to purchase Underfoot can enjoy a free three-day trial of the expansion from March 10, 2010 through March 12, 2010. Additionally, EQ subscribers who have already purchased Underfoot can login to experience Convorteum on March 10, 2010 and will receive an exclusive Gnomework Mercenary Skin if redeemed prior to March 31, 2010. | Norrath Celebrates Love Day [ Comment ] Print News | Category: Official News Erollisi Day, Norrath's celebration of love and passion returns to EverQuest II this year with plenty of activities for players looking for romance. This year the light-hearted holiday festival includes new themed quests including Shot through the heart and Whats love got to do with it, and the returning favorites, Love Lines and Find em a Find, Catch em a Catch. During this holiday players also have a chance of finding love notes or message candies when they kill mobs all across Norrath. This love loot is used in holiday tradeskill recipes and can be exchanged for Erollisi coin, the holiday currency that several Erollisi merchants require for purchase. Also, there are new themed items for crafting, new items for purchase from holiday merchants and more, all available through Tuesday Feb. 16.

Players can pick up their Shots of Love between Friday February 12 and Wednesday February 17th! | EQ II Battlegrounds Are Coming [ 3 Comments ] Print News | Category: Official News On February 16, 2010 the long awaited introduction of battlegrounds is scheduled to arrive in EverQuest II as a complimentary addition for current EQII subscribers with characters level 80-90. Battlegrounds allow players to engage in the most exciting and intense PvP battle against their friends or foes, regardless of server, and provide thrilling group-based, competitive matches in three all-new zones. Participants can quickly join the nonstop action in three different types of matches, with up to 48 players total. On the Battlegrounds there is a role for all, no matter the class, each player can support or lead the group to victory and reap the rewards of the all-new Chaos armor sets!

Today, IGN is broadcasting a 12-hour webathon, beginning at 9am PST and ending at 9pm. The people of Haiti need your help. You can donate directly to our chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity, or you can jump to the IGN for Haiti eBay page to bid on some amazing auction items. Some notable items include a Life-Size Replica Bayonetta Gun, signed BioShock 2 Splicer Mask, Half-Life Guitar, and over 250 other kick ass items. All proceeds from the auction go directly to Habitat for Humanity to aid the effort in rebuilding Haiti.
