The University of Chicago Press, Journals Division has recently contracted with Copyright Clearance Center to facilitate your rights and permissions needs.  With Copyright Clearance Center’s Rightslink® service it’s faster and easier than ever before to secure permission from UCP’s journal titles to be republished in a journal/magazine, book, CD-ROM/DVD, dissertation/ thesis, training materials, academic coursepack or promotional materials.  Follow the steps below to get started.

  1. Send us the above permission request form by e-mail, fax or mail.
  2. You will receive an e-mail reply with a link.  Simply click on the link and a screen will pop up with your requested article’s information entered at the top of the screen.
  3. Select that way you would like to reuse the content.
  4. Create an account if you haven’t already.
  5. Accept the terms and conditions and you’re done.
