Support services
We offer comprehensive English as a Second Language support to our students for whom English is not their first language. Likewise, for students with learning difficulties, we have developed a model learning support programme, catering for those with mild to severe learning disabilities.
Extra curricular activities
Sport and the fine and performing arts play a major part in school life. ISB has one of the largest competitive sports programmes in Europe and is also committed to the concept of ‘sport for all’, offering a wide range of sporting activities during and after school. Our 350-seat theatre and smaller studio space give students many opportunites to demonstrate their dramatic and musical abilities. Our lifelong learning programme offers an excellent range of learning and leisure activities for adults.
Quality control
To measure our success, we use the International Schools Assessment programme, comparing our students’ achievements to those in other high-performing international schools. We are accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
Professional learning
We are committed to ongoing learning for our teachers and staff and run our own Institute of Professional Learning each year. We also offer an onsite MA programme in International Education in collaboration with the University of Bath, UK.
