For more information on the GWTHandler you can read George's GWTHandler article.
Release Imminent for Widget and Server Libraries
Submitted by rhanson on Mon, 2006-10-16 12:45.It has been nearly a month since the last release of both libraries, which is the longest we have gone between releases. Because of the long delay, and the fact that we still aren't quite ready to release the new additions, we felt it was time to provide a quick preview of things to come.
Joe Toth has been hard at work creating a pagination widget, and a wrapper for the popular TinyMCEEditor. Jason Essington has provided a NumberFormat class, adding some long needed support for this. And George Georgovassilis has continued his work on the Spring support by adding exception translation and a host of test cases.
Besides this there are a few other odds that will probably make their way into the next version as well. Currently the target for the next release of both libraries is October 23rd.

GWT Server Library (GWT-SL) 0.1.0 Released
Submitted by rhanson on Wed, 2006-09-20 16:25.This is our first release of a server only distribution for GWT. It currently contains the latest version of the GWTSpringController as well as the new GWTHandler, both of which are the work of George Georgovassilis.
The GWTSpringController in the GWT-WL will be depricated and eventually removed, so you should use this use the one in this GWT-SL distribution instead.
Enjoy.

Version 0.1.0 Released
Submitted by rhanson on Fri, 2006-08-11 22:38.Google released a new version of GWT today, version 1.1.0. There were some API changes made that broke a few things in the GWT-WL, namely the FormPanel and SVG support. This release is to make the GWT-WL compatible with the latest GWT release. Below are a list of changes.
FormPanel
* return type for FormPanel.add to void from boolean
* depricated
FileUploadField
* depricated
SVGContainerBase
* Minor change, does not affect API
The version number jumped up to 0.1.0 to match the jump made by GWT, signifying compatibility with that release. If you are still using GWT 1.0.21 you should not upgrade to this version.
Version 0.0.8 Released
Submitted by rhanson on Thu, 2006-08-10 13:13.What's New in 0.0.8
* Added SimpleDateFormat (Jason Essington)
If you have been struggling with formatting dates, this should help a lot. It handles commonly date format codes.
* Added CookieUtils (Brian Glick)
I have seen a lot of people asking for this one. You can use this to get a list of cookies, set cookies, and delete them. Supports setting of expiration date and path.
* Added TFlexTable to fix removeRow() bug (Iancu Mihai)
There was a long thread about this a couple of weeks ago. Iancu offered a fix on the list, and gave me permission to add it to the library.
* Fixed GWTSpringController for NPE in hosted-mode (George Georgovassilis)
If you have been getting null pointer exceptions when using the Spring integration, this should solve the problem.
GWT FAQ
As recently pointed out on the developers list, there are certain questions that are asked frequently. This FAQ will hopefully answer some of those questions before they are asked. This FAQ is bare bones at the moment, so suggestions for new FAQ entries would be appreciated.
